Dearest Yogi,

I have found my breath! Learning how to breathe authentically through the practice of holistic health and well-being daily continues to strengthen my ability to embrace the tumultuous and joyful moments of my life. It reminds me of the most intimate tangible legacy of resilience that my maternal grandmother Mary Lois Miller and my paternal great-grandmother Amarilis Zoe Nickens instilled in me as a child and as a teenager. Believe in me because God believes in me first, trust God, never give up on my dreams, love unconditionally, forgive always, even when it hurts, and never go to bed angry. Today, I fear-less about what others think of me or their negative perceptions of whom they think I should or should not be. I am no longer walking about wanting to be the one who pleases others, haphazardly defeating myself. I am very proud of my journey and the beauty of growing into the best version of myself. I decree and declare that I am walking in the full manifestation of God and what makes me happy every day mentally, physically, and spiritually. As you read this, please know that I look forward to the very near future of sharing yogic dance, mindful meditation, prayer, the essence of community, faith, love and light with you. I am excited for the opportunity to share and teach the practice of holistic health and well-being to others full-time at every possible level. I hope to offer my gift as a blessing to you and others to share the whelming feeling of being centered mentally, physically, and spiritually. Today I am being selfish about my self-care and the self-care of my community! Today, I am being selfish for you and your self-care! I endeavor to hold space for you on your journey no matter how or when we get there. I believe in you!

Welcome to the Breathe Grace 5 Wellness (BG5 Wellness) family! Thank you for choosing BG5 Wellness to begin or continue your holistic wellness journey. My mission at BG5 Wellness is to provide quality wellness instruction that promotes well-being and serenity, using my Yoga Alliance (YA) certification, continuing education, and training.

“Yoga” means union, aligning the body, mind, and spirit. As a yoga student and teacher, I strive to learn, teach, and practice yoga this way, moving slowly through each pose to the degree that feels good in your body comfortably and safely. I aim to empower you by developing strength and courage in your body, flexibility, body awareness, love, light, new beginnings, and self-acceptance.

This journey is a preparatory process that directs your energies by understanding the mechanics of your body, creating a certain atmosphere, through asana (poses), breathwork, and body alignment. I am truly grateful that you have chosen me as your holistic wellness coach, and I look forward to working with you and sharing in life‘s beautiful journey.
